The heat played havoc with the computer system that services us this weekend. While doing some routine maintenance on Saturday morning, the heat overwhelmed the generators that were keeping the servers running. So for about 8 hours, no one could access our homepage nor any of the services we offer like azcarecheck, assisted living renewals, nor the medical marijuana card checks or purchases.
Thanks to the Arizona Department of Administration and our own IT staff for diligently working to get the system back on line. And thanks to you for your patience.
So the heat crashed the servers and when they come back online they have a new site? lol Why no mention of the attempted site update that crashed the day before?
You’re right. There were actually 2 IT incidents over the last couple of days. We did our Agency weekly system update that included some MM system upgrades Thursday night- which resulted in some system problems on Friday for a few hours. Saturday was a problem at the data center- when the generators overheated.
BTW- we’re working on a new backup system that will provide additional system redundancy once it’s installed.
