This Thursday is a big day for all of us who work in the Capitol area. It is the start of the new Capitol Farmers Market. You’ll find the market from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. along the southwest corner of 17th Avenue and Adams Street. You can shop at the new Farmers Market every Thursday from January 14 through April 21.
At the new Capitol Farmers Market you will find Arizona Grown specialty crops, vegetables, fruits, plants, Arizona honey, Arizona cheese, grass-raised beef, local eggs and more. Freshly prepared hot and cold foods will be available for you to buy. Plan to have lunch on Thursday at the Capitol Farmers Market and invite others to come, too.
If you have not shopped at a farmers’ market before you can check out what it is like visit one in these great videos on the Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition Program website. The Capitol Farmers Market is sponsored by the Arizona Department of Agriculture, Arizona Farm Bureau, the Arizona Grown Program, and the Arizona Community Farmers Markets.
