Today we’re celebrating the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day. The day honors the contributions and expertise of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists as food and nutrition experts.

We have more than 20 Registered Dietitian Nutritionists working on our team to help us achieving our mission to improve health and wellness for all Arizonans. Some of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists are full-time State employees, and others provide contracted services. They can be counted on to provide timely, accurate and science-based nutrition information. Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists work in the divisions of Prevention and Licensing as well as at the Arizona State Hospital.

Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists meet strict academic and professional requirements, including obtaining at least a bachelor’s degree, completing a supervised practice program, and passing a registration exam. Many have gone on to earn a master’s degree or higher. They must also complete required continuing education requirements to maintain their registration.

Thank you to all Arizona Registered Dietitian Nutritionists for your dedication to help improve the health of our communities. To learn more about what a Registered Dietitian Nutritionists can do for you and find one in your area at eatright.org.
