Bill McCarroll was asked to participate and present in an interagency forum regarding the quality assurance issues linked to domestic violence treatment and the courts. This group was designed to bring together key stakeholders invested in studying the behavioral health licensing and treatment nuances in addressing the needs of persons involved in domestic violence. Important conversations ensued as judges, probation officers, treatment providers and advocates came together to formulate processes. As a result of this coordination, workgroups have been developed to identify ways the courts can improve standards, outcomes and communication between judicial parties and behavioral health care providers.
This coordination serves as an important starting off point to improve the systems in place for those who become affected by domestic violence and our behavioral health licensing team is excited to have been a part of it!
